Amigo Hart:

Acepto tu inesperada y amable invitación de enviar un mensaje al cual se le daría lectura en el plenario de LA SEGUNDA CONFERENCIA INTERNACIONAL “POR EL EQUILIBRIO DEL MUNDO,” pero con una cierta inquietud porque no merezco ni el honor ni la atención. Aprovecho esta oportunidad para saludarles a todas y todos trabajando allá en la ocasión del Aniversario 155 del natalicio de José Martí.

In the closing months of 2007 two new urgent Calls for the Freedom of the Cuban Five were issued from Canada. The one reproduced here in three languages resulted from the international conference "Breaking the Silence," and the other, directed to Canadians and available here in English, continued the momentum of that conference.

Regalándome esperanza,
